Trials and Tribulations Redux

Group 3 — Chad, Nadia and Sarah

After a quick trip to the Museo de Evolución Humana, we departed Burgos for León. It’s sad to leave, but we are excited to see a new city. Every time we go somewhere new it’s a brand new adventure, not to mention trying to get there is always fun.

We’ve had a few bumps, including some very strange weather. Despite it being 105 degrees here a few days ago, we can now proudly say we survived a hail storm. Although we shouldn’t have been surprised after our experiences with planes and buses, our train was delayed by weather in Burgos and broke down in Palencia. It’s interesting how group dynamics have shifted with challenges. We’ve all grown closer thanks to these tests of patience but we remain hopeful for smooth travel.

We finally made it!!! Nothing like a good hotel and some excellent food to repair tired souls. León is very different from Burgos. A strange collection of buildings, architecture, and people. It’s a little confusing trying to navigate the city after we just finished mapping out Burgos but we’re excited to see new places and familiarize ourselves with them. Sarah, Chad, and Nadia signing off, see you on the Camino!
